On May 13, 2020, the boards of the Massachusetts Broadband Institute (MBI) and the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC) approved a grant award to Fiber Connect of the Berkshires to expand their fiber optic broadband coverage to at least 96% of Egremont and Monterey.
In April, 2021, Fiber Connect signed contracts with MBI and the towns of Monterey and Egremont, MA to proceed with construction.
